A Note About Diversity

The Kinsey Sicks represent an engaging way to introduce strong diversity values into your programming. Ours is a fiercely gay and solidly feminist voice that deserves to be heard by audiences in theaters and campuses around the country. The Kinsey Sicks are the longest running out gay performance troupe in existence. Our content often reflects a specifically LGBTQ perspective, but our appeal extends far beyond the gay community, to audiences of all sexual orientations, genders, ages and perspectives. In addition to our broad appeal, the Kinsey Sicks challenge audience members to think about a range of cultural and political trends deeply and critically. The Kinsey Sicks bring our diverse personal experiences to our writing and performing as well. Two members of the group are Jewish, while another member is Asian American, the son of Filipino immigrants. One member was an activist and professional advocate in the early years of the AIDS epidemic. One member lives in Mexico. More surprisingly, one member lives in Kansas. All four sing beautifully; all four are ridiculously funny; all four will overturn your expectations in a moment.
